The rehabilitation hospital could only keep Sean, their star patient, for eight days.

On June 12, he was released, and one of the first places he stopped was the Burleson Police Department. Sean's police family welcomed him with a cake, a party and plenty of hugs.

Since then, he has been seeing more doctors than he cares to see. But, today (July 1) Sean was back at work handling the administrative part of supervising the traffic unit and working with the City's red light camera program. Sgt. Sean Bolton will be back on the streets, on his motorcycle, in the fall.

If you had any doubts about his will to survive, all you have to do is look at him. He's back, in every way, thanks to his stubborn, hard-headed, can't-keep-him-down attitude!

Thanks to everyone for the endless prayers, the cards, and the incredible support. In his own words, this has “damn sure been a life-changing experience.”

The benefit concert was AWESOME!!!

Good music, good food, and GREAT friends all came together in honor of Sean.

As a result.... over $12,000 was raised to help bring Sean home. Special thanks to the "behind the scenes" people for your hard work in pulling this ALL together!

We truly appreciate the wonderful music and the bands that performed.... SouthBound, The Robert Donahue Band ,the Bottom Line , Casey Brooke Hardin Band , Don McRay, Tommy Alverson, 281 South, and Powder Kegz .

THANK YOU ALL......GOD BLESS.

Sean's surgery went very well. His pain is much better this morning and he still has his wit. Thanks for all your prayers yesterday and for your continued prayers. Hopefully the 2nd surgery will be within a week, but the doctor hasn't given any time frame yet.

Thanks again,

The Bolton Family

Thank you Mike and the whole family for keeping us updated through this blog! You have all been in our prayers from the beginning. Tell Sean that I said 'Hello' and to get well so he can get his butt back to work. We all miss his unique personality around the PD and it's been quite boring without him.

Sean, I am not surprised you are back with your wit. One more operation to go and you are on your way home.

This is just great. Rest well sweetie and be ready for the next surgery and then the trip home. You are amazing and life changing.

Please let me know if you need anything and know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers every single day.

Rest and get stronger baby, that is what it will take for you to come home where a lot of people are waiting for you.

I am glad God made you the chosen one. The power of prayer is amazing. To get from where you were to where you are now is nothing short of God's miracle.

Get some rest and I will check on you later before I go to bed and tomorrow. Take Care Baby!

Lots of love to you,
Debbie McPhee

Good morning. Sean is supposed to get out of ICU today if everything goes as planned. He's doing remarkably well after his surgery. Continue to pray that he'll improve so they do the 2nd surgery.

Thanks for everything,
Gina
