The rehabilitation hospital could only keep Sean, their star patient, for eight days.

On June 12, he was released, and one of the first places he stopped was the Burleson Police Department. Sean's police family welcomed him with a cake, a party and plenty of hugs.

Since then, he has been seeing more doctors than he cares to see. But, today (July 1) Sean was back at work handling the administrative part of supervising the traffic unit and working with the City's red light camera program. Sgt. Sean Bolton will be back on the streets, on his motorcycle, in the fall.

If you had any doubts about his will to survive, all you have to do is look at him. He's back, in every way, thanks to his stubborn, hard-headed, can't-keep-him-down attitude!

Thanks to everyone for the endless prayers, the cards, and the incredible support. In his own words, this has “damn sure been a life-changing experience.”

The benefit concert was AWESOME!!!

Good music, good food, and GREAT friends all came together in honor of Sean.

As a result.... over $12,000 was raised to help bring Sean home. Special thanks to the "behind the scenes" people for your hard work in pulling this ALL together!

We truly appreciate the wonderful music and the bands that performed.... SouthBound, The Robert Donahue Band ,the Bottom Line , Casey Brooke Hardin Band , Don McRay, Tommy Alverson, 281 South, and Powder Kegz .

THANK YOU ALL......GOD BLESS.

Supporting Burleson Police Sgt. Sean Bolton and his family is as easy as e-mailing. Since April 21, two days after Bolton was critically injured in an off-duty motorcycle accident in Florida, friends have posted pictures and messages on www.seanbolton.blogspot.com.

And, the sergeant's family has posted daily updates on Bolton's progress on that same blog. When the sergeant's friends and co-workers realized how much people had to say about the 12-year Burleson Police Department veteran, a scrapbook began to take form. To be part of that scrapbook that will be presented to the sergeant and his family, e-mail your stories and digital pictures to sean337@sbcglobal.net.

That's not all. ELK TV students from Burleson High School are lending their talents to the May 18 Sean Bolton Benefit Concert at the stadium at Kerr Middle School by videotaping the event. The award-winning students have been recognized by School Video News e-magazine and have earned national awards at the Student Television Network national convention. The students will film, edit, and package copies of the video which will be made available for sale.

For more information about the May 18 Sean Bolton Benefit Concert, call Burleson Police Officer Association President Mike Owen at 817-739-739-5183 or Burleson Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association president Tim Ivy at 817-721-7903.
