The rehabilitation hospital could only keep Sean, their star patient, for eight days.

On June 12, he was released, and one of the first places he stopped was the Burleson Police Department. Sean's police family welcomed him with a cake, a party and plenty of hugs.

Since then, he has been seeing more doctors than he cares to see. But, today (July 1) Sean was back at work handling the administrative part of supervising the traffic unit and working with the City's red light camera program. Sgt. Sean Bolton will be back on the streets, on his motorcycle, in the fall.

If you had any doubts about his will to survive, all you have to do is look at him. He's back, in every way, thanks to his stubborn, hard-headed, can't-keep-him-down attitude!

Thanks to everyone for the endless prayers, the cards, and the incredible support. In his own words, this has “damn sure been a life-changing experience.”

The benefit concert was AWESOME!!!

Good music, good food, and GREAT friends all came together in honor of Sean.

As a result.... over $12,000 was raised to help bring Sean home. Special thanks to the "behind the scenes" people for your hard work in pulling this ALL together!

We truly appreciate the wonderful music and the bands that performed.... SouthBound, The Robert Donahue Band ,the Bottom Line , Casey Brooke Hardin Band , Don McRay, Tommy Alverson, 281 South, and Powder Kegz .

THANK YOU ALL......GOD BLESS.

We're so excited about Sean's progress this morning. A friend gave him a baseball cap this weekend and he had his cap on this morning like he was ready to go! He recognized his dad from about 30feet away. He's doing really well. Thanks for all your support and prayers. Thanks, also, for the blood drive, which was better than predicted. Sean has some great friends!

Tommy Alverson, a well-known country artist, is one of the eight bands slated to perform in Burleson on Sunday, May 18, for the Sean Bolton Benefit Concert.

The gates to the stadium at Kerr Middle School on Johnson Avenue will open at noon on May 18. The first band, South Bound, will perform at 1 p.m., followed by The Robert Donahue Band at 2 p.m., Don McRay at 3 p.m., Casey Brooke Hardin Band at 4 p.m., The Bottom Line at 5 p.m., Tommy Alverson at 6 p.m., 281 South at 7 p.m., and Powder Kegz at 8 p.m.

The price of admission is a donation. Sean Bolton Warrior of the Road t-shirts will be sold for $15. Bracelets; food, water, and soft drinks; and tickets for raffle items will be sold throughout the nine-hour event. A dunking booth will also be used to raise money for the injured sergeant.

Members of the Burleson Police Officers Association, Burleson Professional Firefighters Association, Burleson Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, and the Burleson Police Department’s Citizens on Patrol are hosting the festivities.

For more information about the event or to donate raffle items, call BPOA President Mike Owen at 817-739-739-5183 or alumni association president Tim Ivy at 817-721-7903.
