The rehabilitation hospital could only keep Sean, their star patient, for eight days.

On June 12, he was released, and one of the first places he stopped was the Burleson Police Department. Sean's police family welcomed him with a cake, a party and plenty of hugs.

Since then, he has been seeing more doctors than he cares to see. But, today (July 1) Sean was back at work handling the administrative part of supervising the traffic unit and working with the City's red light camera program. Sgt. Sean Bolton will be back on the streets, on his motorcycle, in the fall.

If you had any doubts about his will to survive, all you have to do is look at him. He's back, in every way, thanks to his stubborn, hard-headed, can't-keep-him-down attitude!

Thanks to everyone for the endless prayers, the cards, and the incredible support. In his own words, this has “damn sure been a life-changing experience.”

The benefit concert was AWESOME!!!

Good music, good food, and GREAT friends all came together in honor of Sean.

As a result.... over $12,000 was raised to help bring Sean home. Special thanks to the "behind the scenes" people for your hard work in pulling this ALL together!

We truly appreciate the wonderful music and the bands that performed.... SouthBound, The Robert Donahue Band ,the Bottom Line , Casey Brooke Hardin Band , Don McRay, Tommy Alverson, 281 South, and Powder Kegz .

THANK YOU ALL......GOD BLESS.

Good morning! Sean's still improving and appears to be still having positive progress. When they lower his pain medication, he appears to be more alert. Continue your prayers, they're working!

Thats absolutely amazing news to hear! Way to go Sean, keep it up!

I need, or would like, some information in regards to the blood drive. I am on antibiotics for a sinus infection and wont be able to give this Saturday. I did call my local Carter Bloodcare Center in Bedford and they said I could still give blood next week on Seans behalf, but I would need hospital information. Could someone email that to me? My email address is brandie_geter@hotmail.com

Thank you so much!

much love Sean!

That is wonderful news...being a nurse myself, I know it is very hard to determine alertness when the patient is medicated but to hear that he is more alert is GREAT!!!!

Sometimes as a nurse we have to do things to our patients that we know is painful or uncomfortable for them, and I have actually prayed for a patient to just yell at me...call me a name....'anything' just to let me know they are responsive. SO SEAN, Y~E~L~L at the nurses they wont mind I promise!!! It is beautiful music to their ears. Much love to your family and friends as well.

Carter BloodCare and the Burleson Police Officers Association will host a blood drive for Burleson Police Sgt. Sean Bolton on Saturday, May 3.

The blood drive will take place at two locations . . . 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church at the corner of Alsbury Boulevard and Renfro Street and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church at the corner of Ellison Street and Johnson Avenue in Burleson.

In addition, an account has been set up at Pinnacle Bank (formerly First State Bank Texas , 651 N.E. Alsbury Blvd., Burleson, TX 76028 ; 817-426-0168). The account is called the Sean Bolton Emergency Fund.

There will be a Sean Bolton Emergency Fund booth set up at the Cinco de Mayo celebration on Friday, May 2, in front of Burleson City Hall. The Cinco de Mayo celebration will take place between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The Burleson Police Officers Association will also have a booth set up at Honeyfest on Saturday, May 10, at Burleson’s Renfro Square.

A Sean Bolton Benefit Concert is in the works for Sunday, May 18. That event is coordinated by the Burleson Police Officers Association, Burleson Professional Firefighters Association, Burleson Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, and the Burleson Police Department's Citizens on Patrol program. As soon as the details are finalized, information will be released.

Sgt. Bolton has been with the Burleson Police Department since early 1996. He is the sergeant over the six-man traffic unit. He is one of two motorcycle officers who started the traffic unit in December 2002.

For more information about donating blood on May 3, log on to the Carter BloodCare web site at www.carterbloodcare.org. For more information about the blood drive, call BPOA President Mike Owen at 817-739-5183.

fyrfMore great news!

Keep on fighting, Sean!

Friday, I contacted several, very active church members that I have the pleasure of working with, to add Sean to each one of their churches' prayer lists. They belong to different churches all over NOrth Texas. I am going to continue to have him added to as many others' as I can. And I know there are many other friends and family doing the same.

Sean, you have so many family, friends, and even complete strangers praying for you all the way from Texas to Florida, and beyond! Keep strong, keep fighting, and with this combination and the outpouring of constant prayers, I know we will continue to receive these great positive updates, and you'll soon be back in Texas to finish your recovery!

You are so loved by so many, and constantly in our thoughts and prayers.

Tiffany

Good morning! Sean is still improving even though we had a bump in the road yesterday. They had taken him off the vent., but they had to put him back on yesterday afternoon. This was not because of his inability to breathe on his own, but because he was laboring too hard and couldn't handle the secretions. This is not a set back by any means, he just needs a few more days to get stronger. All the results are still positive. We'll keep you posted.

Below is the information I received that will go out to all the Johnson County Offices. So to all of those that can not give on May 3, here is another opportunity for someone to take your blood!!!!
You can only give every 8 weeks, and can still donate even though you may be on medication for certain illness. Please see the website at www.carterbloodcare.org for more information!!
